Serving the Community
After moving back to St. Mary’s County in 2019 to get back to my roots, I’ve re-established longtime friendships, business connections, and have met many new people all looking to better the community I grew up in. There’s no better way to show gratitude to the county that shaped me than to give back. We aren’t trying to re-invent the wheel, just bring smiles and support to our community friends.
What we’re doing:
Supporting the development and fundraising efforts of our youth girls participating in the Daisies, Brownies, and Girl Scouts.
Supporting our senior assisted living communities by collaborating with staff by donating to their ongoing resident activities.
Ensuring our senior assisted living residents have personal items to open Christmas morning by launching Sweaters-for-Seniors campaign that yielded enough sweaters to give each resident two; hygiene boxes to all residents, and chocolate-filled stockings for each resident.
Assembling a team of local volunteers to decorate all assisted living resident doorways to bring the Christmas spirit and many smiles to the faces of our elderly.
Mentoring patients and providing them and their families with invaluable resources for managing chronic illnesses.
